Blue skies and summer days...

It was hard leaving Meribel in mid-April when there was still buckets of fresh powder everywhere! However, I flew south for the summer and I am now enjoying Sunsail Club Javelin in Turkey. My website browsing has changed from looking at snow reports to checking out wind conditions, skis and boots have been replaced by boardies and flops. Good news is that I have just about managed to lose my goggle marks!
We have been really lucky so far this season with a continual clean force 4 to 5 blowing every afternoon. Giving us just enough time to enjoy a bout of windsurfing followed by a quick après-surf drink in the jetty bar before sunset. Toffee vodka is shockingly rare unfortunately!
The summer is flying by with the late summer trade-winds picking up, so we are expecting some more epic days on the water…. Despite all the sea and sun, I am excited about unpacking the skis and heading up the mountain for the first fall of snow. With events such as the World Alpine Championships being held in Val d’Isere and the continued success of the British Land Ski Championships in Meribel, this season is shaping up to be an action packed one!
