Fresh snow falling
Posted: Monday 17th March 2008 by leonardo
The snow continued to fall all evening and Meribel awoke to cloudy but snowy skies. As the freezing level was fairly high today, the snow on the higher slopes was of a better standard to ski on. The second station of the main bubbles were closed first thing this morning, however we managed to sneak up the vast network of chair lifts the area has to offer and headed over to Les Menuires. We managed to experience some breaks in the cloud and enjoy the fresh level of snow on all pistes. The mountain was quiet as the changeable conditions continued throughout the day. With the prospect of clear skies and groomed fresh snow, it is shaping up to be an epic day on the mountain tomorrow. The fresh snow fallen has topped up the levels for the slightly busier Easter holiday period that is approaching. We are looking forward to an 'eggcellent' white Easter.
