Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe, offers excellent snow and endless skiing in the vast Three Valleys ski area. The compact village can be found nestled at the foot of Mount Aiguille de Peclet. Once a characterless lift station, the village has been sensitively developed with traditional stone and wooden buildings and the resort has a warm and convivial atmosphere.
The possibility of doorstep skiing from many of the hotels and restaurants is a real benefit and the Three Valleys offers an exceptional range of skiing for all abilities. The nursery slopes are located close to the resort whereas the more challenging reds and blacks are found at Breche De Rosael and Cime De Caron. Embraced by a thousand French, Swiss and Italian peaks, the panorama from Cime De Caron offers the most beautiful views.
Off the slopes, there is a wealth of exhilarating activities available including paragliding, ice driving and a 6km tobogganing run. For more relaxing après-ski there is a sports centre with spa and leisure facilities. An good selection of restaurants and bars provides plenty of choice to end a perfect day.
