St Anton - fantastic memories, beautiful sunny days and countless fresh snow
Posted: Tuesday 21st April 2009 by amalien
Alas for all of us here in St Anton the season has come to an end and with the majority of us taking a flight home at the weekend there are just a few days left until the resort shuts down. Slowly the snow is disappearing and what was once beautifully covered pistes is now dotted with patches of fresh green grass. It won't be long until summer has taken over and all of the glorious snow we have had since the start of December is a thing of the past.
With our last guests leaving on Wednesday we only had a few days to shut down the chalet for the summer season and reminisce about the past five months... what a incredible time we've had this winter! There are of course a few things that stand out for each of us, including the world renowned Hopsiz Alm which has become one of our favourite places in the world for lunch, the Ice Bar in Lech which has provided a handy drink stop mid way round the White Circuit, the Krazy Kanguruh for an apres session followed by a visit to Piccadilly’s for evening entertainment and the Schindlergrat, it's a tough call to pin point the best runs but its hard to beat this quick run all the way down to Stuben.
It is hard to wrap up a season which holds so many fantastic memories, beautiful sunny days, countless amounts of fresh snow that made powder skiing and carving fresh tracks so enjoyable this season. We would like to say a personally thank you for all the fantastic guests we have had here in the Amalien Haus because without you we wouldn't of had so much banter and so much fun to look back on.
We hope to see you again next season!!!
All the best,
Polly, Kevin and the Austrian team
