Cruising over to the White Circuit...

Posted: Sunday 14th February 2010 by amalien

Today was a sharp start for Charlie Salter and his group as we all hopped into taxis from the Amalien Haus to get over to Zurs as soon as possible! The group were at the bottom of the Seekopfbahn by 09.30am and most were eager to set off and start the White Circuit (bar a few with some what heavy heads, no prizes for guessing why!). The sun was shining high in the sky and there wasn’t a cloud to be seen throughout the Arlberg. We spent a while skiing in the Zurs area making the most of the freshly groomed pistes that were almost abandoned due to the majority of visitors in the Arlberg arriving or leaving. Before long we’d shot past Zug and were at the top of the Zugerberg lift sipping hot chocolate, Gluhwein and mid morning snacks bathing in the sun enjoying the 360 degree panorama from the “Balmalp” restaurant, before continuing the skiing utilising the cruisy blues over to Oberlech before stopping at Rud-Alp in Lech for lunch. After a somewhat extended break in the sun, the group had an intense 2 hour ski back over to Zurs completing the White Circuit.

To finish off our day, once back in St Anton, the group made their way to Kandaha where I, St Anton's Ski Event Manager, had reserved them front row seats to watch the "6 Nations" rugby match over pitchers of Forenburger lager.
