Lasting memories in Piccadilly's...

The past weekend saw the arrival of DigiCorp at the Raffls St. Antoner hof 5* Hotel for their short ski break in St Anton. Co owners James and Luke decided on the trip as an incentive based reward for their sales team in the UK. I, St Anton’s resident Ski Event Manager, looked after the group for the duration of their stay, and it is fair to say the party made the most of their few days in St Anton.
The group started with a gentle warm up with a blue from the top of Riffl 1, before stepping up a level (and a height!) to ski down from the top of Riffl 2. The immense ski route descends from a spectacular view point from at Hinteres Rendl – a near hidden valley that is easily accessible from the lift system and glides you back down to St Anton in some of the best backcountry off-piste skiing that can be found in the Arlberg. Inevitably, thigh burn took precedence and so we enjoyed “Heise Schololade mit Rum” (Hot Chocolate with 80% Stroh Rum) enough to numb even the most painful of leg aches! Rendl is a complete sun trap, sheltered from the wind, and a perfect stop to relax lying on the sun loungers of Rendl beach lapping up the rays, whilst sipping a ice cool beer.
The break proved too enjoyable and it was decided to ski straight down the twisty turny R1 piste from Rendl back to St Anton where we stopped for lunch at the Biffang Alm. The best table in the restaurant patiently awaited the groups arrival with a perfect position for both people watching and sun bathing. Lunch was a somewhat leisurely affair and soon the afternoon was all but gone and all that was needed to complete the day was a nap before the evening’s frivolities! Needless to say, when the group had to leave the next morning, lasting memories of the previous evening in Piccadilly’s were to be savoured by all…
Today we await the arrival of Euro MTS who will be joining us in the Amalien Haus for a short 4 day break…watch this space!
