Tobogganing to Nasserien for Gluhwein & hot chocolate...
Posted: Friday 8th January 2010 by amalien
It has been a week of fresh, chilly days around St Anton but the sun has been shining and the pistes are much quieter after the New Year so everyone is happy. The weather is set to continue like this for the next few days so the snow should remain good for some great skiing over the weekend. Earlier this week, a fun afternoon was had by all, especially the Neville’s who thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon Rodeling (tobogganing to you and me!) down the twisty, turny track towards Nasserien, not to forget a stop at the Rodel Hut for Glűhwein & hot chocolate.
Sadly, yesterday the Amalien Haus saw the departure of the Neville’s but we soon welcomed the arrival of Edmunson Electrical and their guests who, after a fantastic meal last night (and an enjoyable night in Cuba Bar afterwards for many), have fully enjoyed the blue skies and great piste skiing today in St Anton.
A thoroughly enjoyable lunch was had by all today at the Hospiz Alms including fantastic magnums of red wine from one of the largest Bordeaux collections in Europe. A short ski in the afternoon shade was followed by a thoroughly enjoyable session at the Krazy Kanguruh, which was inevitably followed by a ski back to St Anton – in the dark - (not to be had without the inevitable wipe out or two!). The next few days are set to be a bit less sunny and a little more snow throughout the Arlberg is forecast, which will only help keep the piste levels topped up!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
