30 days until the season starts!

It’s a dream start to the 2009-10 ski season for virtually every major ski region in the northern hemisphere, and although I don’t want to tempt fate by even daring to hope of last year’s great snowfalls, especially in Europe, it’s hard not to be very enthused by all the reports and photos of new snow.

I am just finalising the refurbishment of the Chalet Leonardo, in Meribel. With new sofas and furnishings it is going to look stunning this winter its traditional open log fire and welcoming atmosphere make it the perfect retreat over the festive period. And with reports of several feet (50-100cm) of new snow skiers and boarders have already beenhiking up to ski down the slopes!
