Glorious sunshine in Méribel...
Posted: Monday 12th April 2010 by leonardo
Méribel has been bathed in glorious sunshine for the past few days and the snow is good up high, with a few inches of fresh powder to explore. The beautiful sunshine has meant that the snow dwindles later on in the day but only on the main descents back down into Méribel and Mottaret.
The Solomon party arrived on Friday evening - it has been 6 years since the two boys in the group, Hugo and Will, skied last. After a day on the slopes we decided to book Will into a New Generation lesson for today - he had a fantastic time perfecting his turns with his instructor Agnes.
Tomorrow, I, flexiski’s Ski Event Manager, will take them over to Courchevel 1850. We will venuture from Méribel on green and blue pistes taking the Loze chairlift from the Méribel Altiport. The boys will definitely be able to get there with a delicious lunch, possibly at Kalico's, in the sunshine.
Méribel is quieting down after the Easter holiday rush and the bars and clubs are beginning to plan their closing parties, to end another buzzing season in Méribel. The first of them to close is Le Pub on Thursday and I 'm sure many will follow as the season draws to a close.
