Méribel après ski galore!

Yesterday was such a fantastic day!

Despite the poor visibility I, flexiski’s personal Ski Event Manager, hosted the Dearnley group of guests to Courchevel for the day. After a leisurely start we made our way to Courchevel 1850 to stop for a quick coffee/beer/brandy break at Le Kalikos, before going to the Bel Air in Courchevel 1650 for a bite to eat. After lunch we regrouped and the Dearnley’s had very generously invited the whole of the Chalet Leonardo team out for lunch, so Ruth and Lucy, flexiski’s Hostess and Chef, also joined us at the restaurant, unfortunately Nick, flexiski’s Chalet Hostess, and Darragh, flexiski’s Resort Manager, couldn’t make it. The weather began to close in around us so we headed straight back to Méribel to show the guests the infamous Ronnie après ski! After a while we all skied down to the centre of town and continued the après at Jacks Bar just by Le Chaudanne. The alpine band ‘Bring your Sisters’ were playing and gave the Flexiski team a warm welcome with a special mention to the Dearnley party! It was Lucy’s night off so we booked a table at Chez Kiki’s for their supper, which received rave reviews. They then continued their evening at Dicks Tea Bar and, to say the least, breakfast the next morning was a very quiet affair!

There is still plenty to look forward to, this Sunday, ‘Video Jam’ is taking place at Smokey Joe’s, where you can join the entrants and judges for the premiere of this year’s Video Jam winners. It is bound to be a great night showcasing local talent on the piste and behind the camera. The following Monday, JPZ Jazz Band are playing at Méribel-Mottaret, a mobile, acoustic jazz band playing a mixture of Dixieland Jazz Band in the wide variety of styles called New Orleans Jazz Ragtime, Fox-trot, Hot Jazz, Blues, Creole Jazz, Swing and Jive…
