Meribel - event management in full swing...
Posted: Wednesday 25th March 2009 by leonardo
This weekend we had an eventful few days here at the Chalet Leonardo, with G-Research visiting for the second time this season! There were some very interesting and fun times to be had on and off the slopes especially at le Rond Point and Dicks Tea Bar. Their party leader has promised more of the same this coming weekend when they visit us for the final time this season and all of us are really looking forward to their return.
We really appreciated two fabulous days skiing, Friday we eased into our Event Management heading across to Val Thorens to enjoy a fantastic day on the slopes with perfect sunshine and bright blue skies. On Saturday we took G-Research up to Courchevel 1850 and took the Combe de la Saulire run which provided the group with some short, sharp turns and the best snow on the Courchevel side of the valley. Le Praz was also in really good condition in the morning and we were able to test out the skiing with relatively empty pistes.
Despite the festivities from this group the Herbert family also had a great time and frequented the Bell Air and Chalet La Marine in Val Thorens on what were picture perfect days. The slopes are still in fantastic condition up to lunch time with the slopes invariably turning slushy at resort level in the afternoon, but all this will change over the next few days as the weather forecast is saying a whole week of snow awaits us!
