Meribel - the vast Three Valleys is still providing great conditions

With Easter and all its many delights out of the way, the Chalet Leonardo team are currently entertaining their final week of clients! This week sees the arrival of the Mee family and they've been blessed with some glorious sunshine and midweek snow to keep the slopes fresh at this late stage of the season. A sentimental week for many here, with many of the major tour operators having stopped work already, flexiski is one of the few to still be in resort, and with the Rond Point, Dicks Tea Bar and Pizza Express all already shut many of our thoughts have now turned to the summer!
At resort level the temperatures continue to rise and with the grass now a luscious green and the flowers beginning to blossom it’s hard to imagine we're still in a ski resort! But we are quickly reminded of the vastness of the Trois Vallee by the very cold temperatures at the top of Mt de Chambre (-8c!) and the 15 cm of fresh snow making Mt Vallon a real hotspot. The lack of snow in some areas however does not stop the fun with some wonderful lunches still being had at Chalet la Marine and the Bel Air. And more fun is to be had tomorrow with a trip to the hallowed turf of the Alps...La Bouitte.
