50cms more snow!

Yet another fantastic week in Val d’Isère, bird blue skies and 50cms of new snowfall has kept us all on the slopes. It snowed almost continuously on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday proving that Val d’Isère is still the best late season holiday resort. Today the clouds finally parted with a day of unbroken sunshine, but a brisk -13 degrees at 3000m.

The Chalet Balias team have been busy this week as we welcomed the Chase-Gardener family for a weeks serious skiing and après together! James, Chalet Balias’ Chef, has worked hard to bring some new dishes to his menu and the laughter and tales of the days skiing have created a wonderful atmosphere every evening. The Chase-Gardeners enjoyed the company of their personal friend and professional private guide all this week, who helped them make the most of their time on the mountains.

James and I are looking forward to the new arrivals, with several parties joining us to enjoy the late season snow and the buzzing end of season atmosphere in town.
