Blue skies, once again, grace the Espace Killy...
Posted: Wednesday 14th April 2010 by Val dIsere
Blue skies once again grace the Espace Killy. Over the past few days we have had flurries of snow during afternoon and overnight. Early predictions for the next week show continued sunshine, increasing temperatures and a light breeze of up to 20km/h at 3000m. The best piste conditions are to be found in the morning and above 2000m.
The last of Chalet Balias’ guest have left resort, after a fantastic weekend on the slopes. James and I, Chalet Balias’ staff, celebrated in style, with a delicious fondue evening as the last meal. All the guests enjoyed tasting the local meats, cheese and wines in the beautiful Chalet Balias surroundings. James and I then took the guests out to celebrate the end of a fantastic season at Saloon bar and danced into the early hours. At this point a special mention has to be made to Toby and Dina, who made for fantastic company over the final weekend and showed us all up on the dance floor!
After such a lively weekend of guests, Val d’Isère and Chalet Balias is very quite. The resort is definitely slipping into spring as the Marmots begin to come out of hibernation and Val d’Isère prepares for a relaxed summer…
