Chasing the sun in Tignes...

It’s been a perfect week in Val d'Isère with another 22cm of fresh powder and crystal blue skies. The weather is only going to get better with more snow forecast for tonight and set to continue into Friday, giving us another 20-30cm in the next 24hrs.

The perfect ski conditions have meant James and I spent Monday and Tuesday riding waist deep through the trees in the Val d'Isère ‘Le Fornet' area and have spent Wednesday and Thursday chasing the sun from Tignes 'Val Claret' all the way to Tignes 'Les Brevieres'. It is an exceptional time of year to travel the full Espace Killy area as the regular snowfall and low temperatures ensure quality snow, even in the lower parts.

Après ski hit an all time high this Wednesday with a new band 'Blue Funkt' playing at the renowned Saloon Bar. It was their first week in Val d'Isère, but definitely wont be their last, as they had every person in the bar dancing all afternoon!

This week Chalet Balias have had the Howard & Organ family staying, who joined us for their 15th family ski holiday together; and Dr of Tropical Medicine, who provided us with the most entertaining dinner conversation!
