Christmas is in the air in d'Isère...

Here in the Chalet Balias we’re all enjoying the Christmas celebrations with our beautifully decorated Christmas tree and delicious festive treats. We've seen 22cm of fresh powder snow in the past 24 hrs, which will make for fantastic skiing over Christmas and New Year and with more forecast for the week ahead, conditions couldn’t be better. James, our resident Ski Event Manager, enjoyed a day on the mountain with our first guests, clocking up some serious miles across the Espace Killy area and even had a morning of undisturbed skiing on Grand Motte under crystal blue skies.

The Val d’Isère Village has some fantastic entertainment planned for the holiday period, starting with a gospel concert in the intimate village church and plenty more to look forward to including street entertainment, live music and ice sculpting. Although Val d'Isère is definitely livening up, the good news is that we are yet to come across a chair lift queue (or queue at the après bar)!
