Relaxing in "Oxygen"...

Posted: Wednesday 10th February 2010 by Val dIsere

Val d’Isère has been bathed in sunshine for the past 2 days, with the recent heavy snowfall the pistes have been in pristine condition. The weather is set to change throughout the week, with cloud already forming this evening and is set to stay for the next 48 hrs.

James and I, Chalet Balias’ Resident Chef and Chalet Host, have had another busy week of entertaining guests. Currently visiting Chalet Balias are four RAF officers, enjoying a well earned break from their intensive training course. Tonight we will be showing the guests the renowned Val d’Isère nightlife, starting off in Saloon for cocktails. Tomorrow James will be showing the guys the best runs in Val d’Isère and Tignes during a days complimentary Ski Event Management.

James I also visited Val d’Isère’s new ‘Oxygen’ fitness centre, in village centre - a fantastic addition to Val d’Isère, with a full climbing wall, sprung sports hall, full gymnasium, swimming pool and wellness centre. The wellness centre is spread around the central swimming pool, allowing you to take a few laps of the main pool before relaxing in the warmer relaxation pool. The hydro-therapy is particularly popular with beds which face out towards the piste and an excellent view of Val d’Isère village. We indulged ourselves in the eucalyptus infused Haman, which left us feeling revitalised.

All our guests are entitled to a complimentary pass to the wellness centre, when they buy a Lift Pass for more than 3 days. With late opening hours all week, it is a fantastic après- ski activity for guests to enjoy together and comes highly recommended.
