Verbier is the perfect resort for experts, not only are the red runs enough to satisfy any advanced skier there is also a selection of superb blacks, it is definately worth getting up early and catching the first lifts of the day to enjoy the best of these runs. The ski area is also infamous for the mogul fields of Tortin and Gentianes that are thrilling. The off piste opportunities are extensive and as such the major free-ride competitions are held here every year. Areas that you should check out include the Col de Mines, Vallon d'Arbi and the Mt-Gele cable-car.apres ski
Verbier comes to life at night with a selection of various bars, pubs, discos and clubs including the renowned 'Farm Club', this resort definately offers some of the best apres ski in the Swiss Alps. Make sure you take your wallet, this resort can be expensive.Non-skiers or those taking a break from the slopes will enjoy the selection of exclusive shops and boutiques that offer souvenirs, sports clothing and accessories. Verbier is also home to some of the best known skiing competitons throughout Europe providing great entertainment throughout the season. Head to resort in February and you'll be able to watch the worlds best freeskiing competitors in action at the 'La Chaux' area or why not visit during March and see them tackle the Bec des Rosses.
