The Hotel Gamshof has an enviable position in the heart of Kitzbuhel. The exterior is typically Tyrolean in bright red hue and when you step inside the decor has been stylishly refreshed. Bold but earthy colours dominate the rooms and living areas, roaring fires in the Gamsbar and wooden ski memorabilia litter the walls. Plenty of wood, faux fur and farm prints make this owner-run hotel a welcoming and easy place to stay. If you're looking for a few nights in a world-class ski resort, you'll be very central, a short walk from the lifts and there's even a sauna to come back to each afternoon.

What we like

- Central location, close to all the bars and restaurants of Kitzbuhel
- Mountain views from every balcony
- In-house sauna to relax in

Worth knowing

- The main lift station is a 10 minute walk, or you can hop on the bus (pretty convenient to Kitzbuhel)
- The hotel does not have a restaurant, you'll have to enjoy the towns many restaurants (bummer)
