Overview of Hotel & Wirtshaus Post
You're in the heart of St Johann as soon as you step out the door and the ski bus stops just around the corner so you won't have to walk far in your ski boots. It's only 800 metres to the Harschbichl Gondola if you don't fancy the bus, definitely not too far to walk.
Dating back to 1297, there's plenty of history there, but a complete renovation in 2014 saw the modern overhaul of this hotel. They added 17 rooms all to a fantastic standard. The way the hotel links together has a homely feel making it feel much smaller and boutique like than you may expect. It's sleek and contemporary from the industrial feel of the wellness area - a fantastic space for some post-ski relaxation, right through to the cut glass tumblers at the brand new cocktail bar with an almost speakeasy vibe - a nice spot for after dinner aperitifs. The huge suspended disco ball certainly adds a sparkle to the hallway.
Overlooking the courtyard you have the deli come bistro Postmarkt serving up sharing platters if you're peckish, as well as the stylish courtyard restaurant for your a la carte meals. A stylish place in the centre of town, if you're looking for a little bit of laid-back luxury then you've certainly come to the right place.
