One of Zell am See’s most impressive landmarks, the Grand Hotel is set on its own peninsular, jutting out into Lake Zell and is surrounded by the most stunning views. As you walk along the lake front, this authentic ski hotel takes pride position and there really isn’t anything you could call it other than grand.
Just a minute from the town centre, the Grand Hotel emanates a Belle Époque decadence with grandeur and glamour. As well as the hotels obvious opulence, the staff really set it apart and the wonderful service they provide can make your day.
The open fire in the bar is a relaxed spot to grab a drink in style and exercise your Great Gatsby alter ego – or maybe just get stuck into a good book and put your feet up.
The dining rooms have some fantastic panoramas and the Terrace at the Grand Spa is a lovely spot to relax and cool down after a sauna; you have free access if you stay in a suite. There is also a wellness area dominated by the large Roman bath-style pool surrounded by a Jacuzzi, saunas and relaxation rooms, all customers have access to this spa area.
The Grand Hotel in this beautiful Austrian paradise is the perfect accomodation for those looking for a fun yet relaxing ski break.
Jutting out over the lake the Grand Hotel is less than 100m to the town centre. In ski boots it would be a 10-15 minute walk to the City Xpress gondola so we’d recommend taking advantage the complimentary shuttle bus running every 15 minutes to the lifts in the morning and afternoon.
All rooms at the Grand Hotel are equipped with the following amenities:
Comfort rooms feature Austrian twin beds (two single mattresses with separate linen on a single bed frame) with a private bath or shower, WC and some have a balcony.
Approx 23m2, sleeps max. 2
Superior twin rooms feature Austrian twin beds (two single mattresses with separate linen on a single bed frame), a single sofa bed with a private bath or shower, WC and balcony.
Approx 30m2, sleeps max. 3
The deluxe rooms feature Austrian twin beds (two single mattresses with separate linen on a single bed frame), private bath or shower, WC and balcony. Some have a private sauna.
Approx 42m2, sleeps max. 2
Family apartments feature Austrian twin beds (two single mattresses with separate linen on a single bed frame), a separate living room with bunk beds, private bath or shower and WC. Some have a balcony.
Approx 45m2, sleeps max. 2–4
Please be advised that safety standards with regards to balconies differ in Austria and on occasion, you may be allocated a room whereby the balcony is lower than we would expect in the UK.
For your own safety, please ensure that you take care when on the balcony and do not lean on or over the railings. If you have children below the age of 12 in your party, please ensure that they are supervised and not left unattended at any time.
