Rave reviews are rightfully received at the Hotel Courchevel Olympic. It's not the fanciest place in this mega resort but providing fantastic service the hotel has absolutely nailed its position as the perfect bolt hole hotel. Smack bang in the middle of Courchevel 1850 just a minute walk to the nearest slope or 3 minutes to La Croisette and the ski school meeting points. Surrounded by bars, shops and restaurants you'd be a harsh critic to be disappointed by the location.
Whilst the exteriors may not be the most aesthetically pleasing, the communal areas and superior rooms were refurbished with a richly coloured contemporary style for the 15/16 season. Whether you slump beside the fireplace after a day on the mountain or get out to enjoy the delights of Courchevel right on your doorstep, you're in the heart of everything without having to break the bank to be there.
What we like about Hotel Olympic
- Fantastic central location close to the slopes and the bars/restaurants
- There is a half board option that involves eating out at various Courchevel restaurants for your choice of lunch or dinner (*see board basis section at the bottom of the page)
- Open fireplace in the lounge with various games to borrow
- The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, breakfast is served in the bar and evening meals/lunch are at restaurants around town
- You are just below La Croisette with the ski school meeting point - an easy walk
- The TVs can connect to your Netflix account
The hotel reception is closed between 12pm and 4pm every day. If you arrive during this time you will need a code to enter the hotel (this will be supplied in your departure documents). If your room is ready there will be a key on reception, if not you can collect your key at the usual check in time of 4pm. This can make it hard to get skiing on your arrival day, though you will be able to grab equipment ready for the following day. Reception is also closed at night, use the supplied code to enter the hotel after operating hours.
