Pierre & Vacances premium residences Les Chalets du Forum

'P&V does Courchevel' sounds like a bad carry-on film but in fact is, simply, fantastically located self-catering apartments 150 metres from the main Croisette lift area of Courchevel 1850. The apartments are built in that traditional Savoyard style; big wooden chalet looking buildings synonymous with Meribel brought to Courchevel. They are next door to the resort ice rink, supermarket and the ESF ski school - what more could you want.

Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchenette open plan with the living room and the bathrooms are clean and modern. Affordable accommodation that gives you the freedom of your own space in the centre of one of the most sought-after ski resorts in the world.

What we like about Les Chalets du Forum

  • 150 metres to the main Croisette lift area and ski school meeting points
  • Wooden chalet-style buildings, well furnished and the bathrooms have been recently refurbished (they look impeccable anyway)
  • Additional services such as grocery delivery or breakfast brought to your apartment

Worth knowing

  • 500€ deposit payable on arrival - you get it back at the end provided you don't smash the place up
  • You have to keep the kitchenette clean - no leaving dirty dishes on check out
  • Beds aren't made on arrival for the standard apartments - book a superior apartment if you don't fancy making your bed

  • Wifi

At the opposite end of the main lift area (Croisette) to the main village of Courchevel 1850, Les Chalet du Forum are just 150 metres from the slopes and 300 metres from the village centre. Next door is the ice rink, the ESF ski school and a supermarket so it's not far to walk to grab some supplies.

All apartments at Les Chalets du Forum have a fully equipped kitchenette/living area with a sofa bed and TV as well as modern bathrooms with hairdryers. There are two standards of apartment; standard and superior. Superior apartments are slightly larger, have higher quality furnishings, your beds are made on arrival and they have Nespresso capsule machines.

1 bedroom apartment

The 1 bedroom apartments have a bedroom with two single beds, a living/kitchen room and a bathroom.

You can also get a slightly larger one bed apartment at 45sqm that can accommodate an additional pull out bed in the bedroom.

Approx. 30sqm, sleeps max. 4

2 bedroom apartment

2 bedroom apartments have one bedroom with a double bed and the other has two single beds, there's a living/kitchen room a bathroom, a shower and separate toilet.

Approx. 60sqm, sleeps max. 7 (superior - 80sqm)

3 bedroom apartment (superior)

3 bedroom apartments have a bedroom with a double bed and two bedrooms with two single beds, there's a living/kitchen room and a bathroom, two showers and two toilets.

Approx. 100sqm, sleeps max. 10

4 bedroom apartment

4 bedroom apartments have one bedroom with a double bed and three with two single beds (one of which can accommodate an additional pull out bed), there's a kitchen/living room and a bathroom, two showers and two toilets.

Approx. 110sqm, sleeps max. 10

There are also apartments that are 1/2 bedrooms and 2/3 bedrooms. This means the additional bedroom is actually an alcove so it doesn't have a door - essentially a few beds in a wide corridor giving the occupants limited privacy and they are a bit cramped. we'd recommend for kids rather than adults - fine for a family but a no-no for a group of couples say.

  • Bread and pastry delivery - additional cost
