Apres Ski In St Anton

    Apres Ski In St. Anton

Après ski in St Anton is one of the major draws of this unassuming Austrian ski resort.

St Anton is one of our most requested ski resorts and - once you’ve experienced its après ski scene - it’s not hard to see why.

Packed full of buzzing bars, restaurants and clubs, this small village certainly makes an impact when it comes to après ski. Add to that its 300km ski area, the one hour transfer from Innsbruck and you’ve got yourself the perfect ski break.

For those of you hoping to let off some steam on your next ski break we've put together a guide to our favourite apres ski bars in St Anton. With numerous party venues across the slopes and seemingly endless options down in town, you won't be short of options.

The best après ski bars in St Anton:

    1. MooserWirt

Where: On blue piste No. 1 above town, just above the Galzig/Gampen base area - ski-in, short walk or taxi home.

    Vibe: Wild, table-dancing, sing-along Euro-après, packed from 3:30pm - 8pm.

More info: Universally described as the legendary St. Anton après bar in recent articles and resort guides. Lively DJ sets, trays of beers and schnapps flying around, and a big terrace overlooking the valley. Just be careful on the ski back down to town!

    2. Krazy Kanguruh

Where: On the slopes above St. Anton - easy ski-in/skip-out from runs 29/50, just off the Galzig piste back toward town.

Vibe: Party atmosphere - expect DJs, and a lively crowd from 3:30pm until about 7 - 8 pm.

More info: A must-visit slope-side party spot, virtually opposite MooserWirt. It was rebuilt and reopened for the 2025/26 season. The relaunched venue features a modernised space with a glass winter garden, elevated DJ booth, and improved kitchen (excellent lunches!), while still nailing the classic mix of music, beer, and dance-on-tables atmosphere that made it legendary.

    3. Taps

Where: On the Galzig slopes next to the Krazy Kanguruh.

Vibe: Big terrace in the sunshine for people watching, DJ from 4pm; party atmosphere but less manic than MooserWirt.

More info: Regularly chosen as the "happy middle ground" après bar. Good ski-in location, strong party crowd, plus decent food (burgers, pizza, nachos) if you want to stay after lunch for après ski.

    4. Heustadl / ARL.one

Where: On 50 blue run around 150 yards up the hill from the Mooserwirt.

Vibe: Big sun terrace, live bands most afternoons, proper Austrian "Stadl" atmosphere. Like an Austrian Folie Douce.

More Info: The relatively new Arl-One is one of the must-do live-music après spots in St. Anton. Very popular with both holiday-makers and seasonnaires looking for classic Tyrolean gemütlichkeit rather than the chaos of the first two bars above!

    5. Griabli

    Where: Directly opposite the MooserWirt.

Vibe: Classic Tyrolean hut that leans more towards rocky après than cheezy Euro-pop.

More Info: A well-loved après-ski bar with a dedicated following and a slightly more grown up crowd. Expect a homely, traditional feel and personal service.

    6. Basecamp

Where: Directly at the valley station of the Galzigbahn and Gampenbahn - you practically ski into it.

Vibe: Huge tented terrace, live DJs, heaters – a "ski-boot-on" party at the bottom of the slopes.

More Info: One of the most popular valley-level après ski bars in St. Anton, and a favourite place to head if you finish early up the hill - ideal if half your group has finished skiing early - they can just park themselves here and wait for everyone at the lift base. Closes at 8pm.

    7. Fanghouse (Fang Bar)

Where: Right next to the Nassereinbahn lift at the bottom of the Fang run (Nassereinergasse 6).

Vibe: Compact, friendly, lively, overspills onto a packed outdoor terrace.

More Info: Main après ski hangout at the Nasserein end of town, it's a small bar with a great atmosphere, with some guests mentioning it has cheaper prices than some Galzig bars. Excellent Bombardinos!

    8. Keller Bar (Nassereinerhof Cellar Bar)

Where: In the Hotel Nassereinerhof, a short walk from the Nassereinbahn, central Nasserein.

Vibe: Low-ceilinged cellar bar with live music several nights a week. Darts, pool table, friendly staff.

More Info: One of the only bars in town with a full, regular live-band line-up. Great for post-Fanghouse drinks once you’re out of ski boots - and an easy stumble home if you’re staying at the Nasserein end of town.

    9. Murrmel Bar

Where: On the main street (Dorfstraße) in town, handy for both Galzig and Nasserein holidaymakers.

Vibe: Busy bar/restaurant with live bands usually between 5pm - 8pm, then DJs on two floors until late.

More Info: Go-to in-village après spot with strong live-music credentials and friendly staff. Great burgers and cocktails, and a packed but fun atmosphere - a bit sleeker than some older valley bars.

    10. Underground on the Piste

Where: On the piste near the St. Anton ski museum / Mooser Hotel, just above town.

Vibe: Tiny, atmospheric hut-style bar with live rock/jazz/blues, classic après-ski feel.

More Info: Often called one of the best bars in St. Anton, thanks to its intimate live-music vibe and "institution" status. Space is limited - get there earlier if you want a table and to actually see the band.

    11. Cuba Bar

Where: Dorfstraße 33 in the centre - walkable from anywhere in town, popular with 20- and 30-somethings.

Vibe: Lively bar with live music/DJs, big drinks list and sports on TV; more of a post-après spot than a ski-boots-on terrace.

More Info: We had to finish with one of St. Anton's late-night bars. Always busy and has plenty of potential when you catch it on a good night. Good place to finish after Murrmel...if you haven’t had enough by then.
