Après Ski in Les Menuires – The Best Bars & Clubs
Les Menuires might have a reputation as the slightly more laid-back neighbour of Val Thorens, but don't mistake that for a lack of après.
From sunny mountain terraces and live bands to lively pubs and late-night clubs, après ski in Les Menuires has plenty to offer once you've finished exploring the slopes of the Three Valleys.
The atmosphere tends to be a little more relaxed than Val Thorens, which is part of its appeal. You can start with DJs on a mountainside terrace, ski back into resort for live music and a few drinks, then carry on into the early hours if you've still got the energy.

Roc Seven – slope-side après with a view
If you're looking for proper on-the-mountain après, Roc Seven should be high on your list. Sitting at the top of the Roc 1 gondola, it's one of the standout spots for après ski in Les Menuires. Expect a big sunny terrace, DJs, live musicians and a lively atmosphere, particularly when the weather plays ball. It's also an excellent place for a long lunch before the music gets going – and getting back into Les Menuires afterwards is straightforward. Think great food, mountain views and dancing in ski boots without quite the same full-on feel as some of the Three Valleys' bigger après venues.
Jack's – live music in La Croisette
Already well known to Méribel regulars, Jack's has brought its winning formula to Les Menuires. Located in La Croisette, it's a great choice if live music is your idea of a good après session. Expect regular bands and musicians, plenty of crowd interaction and a lively but friendly atmosphere. It's the sort of place where you can pop in for one après drink and find yourself staying for several. During the winter season, there's regularly entertainment during the late afternoon, making Jack's an easy stop straight off the mountain.
Pub La Mousse
Also in La Croisette, Pub La Mousse is a friendly, unpretentious pub and a good option if you prefer your après without too much fuss. There are pool tables, drinks at sensible resort prices and regular entertainment. It's equally good for an early après drink or settling in for a longer evening with friends.
Le Challenge
Another La Croisette favourite, Le Challenge combines the feel of a traditional resort pub with a livelier late-night atmosphere. There's pool, live entertainment and music, with some evenings carrying on considerably later than the traditional après-ski hours. Its central location makes it particularly convenient if you're staying around La Croisette.
Le Skilt – food, drinks and live music
Le Skilt is worth knowing about for both food and après. It's a welcoming bar and restaurant with regular live music and events throughout the ski season. And if you've spent the day outside in freezing temperatures, there's another very good reason to visit: its French onion soup has something of a reputation. Warm up, order a drink and stick around when the music starts.
L'Atelier du Capricorne
For something that bridges the gap between dinner and a night out, try L'Atelier du Capricorne in La Croisette. It's a restaurant by day and evening, but later things can get livelier with music, DJs and dancing. That makes it a good option if you want dinner and drinks without having to plan an elaborate tour of the resort's bars afterwards.
Clubs and late-night après in Les Menuires
If you're not ready for bed after the bars close, Les Menuires has options for carrying on. Le Leeberty, over in Les Bruyères, combines a bar and nightclub atmosphere, making it a popular option for later nights.
Le New Pop in La Croisette is another classic resort nightclub option when après turns into a proper night out.
Opening nights, events and times can vary throughout the season, so we'd always recommend checking what's happening locally when you arrive.
Après at La Folie Douce and 360 Bar In Val Thorens
Staying in Les Menuires doesn't mean you have to miss the famous Val Thorens après ski scene either. You can ski over to La Folie Douce Val Thorens, where afternoons bring the familiar combination of DJs, live performers and dancing on tables.
Just remember that you've still got to get back to Les Menuires afterwards, so keep an eye on lift times, piste conditions and the time of day.
Another option is 360 Bar Val Thorens, known for its outdoor parties and DJs. With a little planning, keen après skiers can even experience both during a day exploring the Val Thorens side of the Three Valleys.
Is Les Menuires good for après ski?
Definitely. While Val Thorens may be the Three Valleys' headline destination for full-on partying, après ski in Les Menuires offers a great balance.
You can dance outside at Roc Seven in the afternoon, catch live music at Jack's or Le Skilt, enjoy a few drinks around La Croisette and still find somewhere to carry on later.
For skiers who want great nightlife without necessarily wanting the rowdiest resort in the Alps, the best bars & clubs in Les Menuires provide plenty of choice – and with one of the world's greatest ski areas on the doorstep, you've got a pretty good reason to celebrate at the end of every ski day.
