    Ski Holidays For Singles

Ski Holidays for Singles Over 30, Over 40...even over 50!

Want to go skiing but struggling to persuade your friends to come with you? Perhaps your partner doesn't ski, your usual ski group can't make the dates, or you simply fancy heading to the mountains on your own.

Together with our sister company, SkiWeekends, we offer ski holidays for singles over 30 that are designed to make travelling solo easy, sociable and a lot of fun.

These dedicated solo ski holidays are typically 4-night catered chalet breaks, bringing together like-minded skiers and snowboarders who share one important thing in common: they love being in the mountains.

The average age of these solos ski holidays? 35 - 55. Sometimes we've had skiers in their mid-20s, and our oldest solo skier was in her late 60's!

Want to ski in a group with skiers / boarders of a similar ability? You've got it. Don't want to join in all the time, and want to do a few hours to yourself? You can do that too. There's no need to organise a big group and no pressure to spend every minute together. Simply book your place, arrive in resort and enjoy a few days of fantastic skiing with a chalet full of people who are there for exactly the same reason.

Why choose a short break solo ski holiday?

Going skiing alone can feel like a big step, particularly if you've always travelled with friends, family or a partner. But ski holidays for solos can actually be one of the most sociable ways to experience the mountains. Staying in a catered chalet makes meeting people easy. Breakfast is shared around the table before everyone heads onto the mountain, while evenings bring the group back together over drinks and dinner.

You might find people who ski at a similar level and decide to explore the slopes together, arrange to meet for a mountain lunch, or simply do your own thing during the day and catch up with everyone back at the chalet. It's your holiday, so there's no obligation to join in with everything.

We do get some beginners on these trips, so 4 nights (usually 3.5 days skiing) allows plenty of ski time, without the higher costs of staying and skiing for a full week.

Ski holidays for singles over 30

Our over-30s trips are aimed at adults looking for a sociable ski break rather than a party-focused singles holiday. They're about good skiing, good food and enjoying the mountains with an interesting mix of people. And you certainly don't need to be single in the relationship sense. Plenty of people travel solo because their partner doesn't ski, their friends have different commitments or they simply have more flexibility to get away.

Whether you're in your 30s, 40s, 50s or beyond, these trips offer an easy way to meet other adults who love skiing and snowboarding.

Four nights in a catered ski chalet

One of the best things about these solo ski holidays is the chalet experience itself. Rather than disappearing into separate hotel rooms at the end of the day, everyone has a comfortable communal space to return to. Relax with a drink, compare stories from the slopes and enjoy dinner together before deciding what the evening has in store.

Your catered chalet stay also means much of the holiday is taken care of, with breakfast to set you up for the mountain and delicious afternoon tea & cake, and a 3-course evening meal and wine waiting when you return.

And because our solos trips are just four nights, you don't need to commit to a full week away. It's enough time to enjoy several great days of skiing and get to know the rest of the chalet, while fitting neatly into a long weekend or short break.

Ski together or do your own thing

One of the biggest misconceptions about ski holidays for solos is that you'll spend the entire trip following an organised itinerary. That's not how we see it. If you meet people of a similar ability and want to ski together, great. If you'd rather book lessons, head off on your own or spend an afternoon exploring at your own pace, that's absolutely fine too.

The chalet provides the social side of the holiday naturally, leaving you free to enjoy the mountains however you choose.

    Discover solo skiing with SkiWeekends

You shouldn't have to miss out on a ski holiday simply because nobody else can make the dates. Our ski holidays for singles over 30 make it easy to head to the mountains independently, enjoy a four-night catered chalet break and meet other skiers and snowboarders along the way. Come for the skiing, enjoy the chalet experience and you may well head home with a whole new group of people to ski with next time.
