Ski resorts with short transfers
We have a number of ski resorts with a 1 hour 30 minute or shorter transfer time from the airport to the ski slopes, and many more that aren't much longer. But, which are the very shortest transfers? Which resorts will have you on the slopes almost as soon as you touch down? Here are our 5 ski resorts with the shortest transfers to date.
1. FLAINE - flying into Geneva
It surprised me that Flaine has a shorter airport transfer than Morzine. Only by 15 minutes, but quicker is quicker! Flaine is a car free resort and it's north facing powder bowl means the snow is always brilliant.
Transfer time: 1 hour
2. LA CLUSAZ - flying into Geneva
A lovely traditional French village, La Clusaz is fast becoming a foodie heaven, with incredible restaurants popping up all over the town. The skiing is excellent too, and most of the accommodation is 5 minutes or less from the slopes. Many of the pistes are beautifully tree-lined and there are runs for all abilities and a good live music après scene.

3. FLACHAU - flying into Salzburg
Lesser known Flachau is a brilliant, great value ski resort. Only 1 hour south of Salzburg Airport, there are plentiful accommodation options, and the apres ski is incredibly lively given the size of the resort. Head to the Hofstadl around 3:30pm where the sound of jet engine signals the end of sedate, quiet drinks and signals the start of raucous apres. There are 120km of pistes and a modern, fast lift system to whisk you around the ski area.

4. CHAMONIX - flying into Geneva
Chamonix is an all year round mountain enthusiasts’ mecca, and has all the winter sports prestige you could possibly hope for and a transfer time to suit our impatience to get on the slopes. To get to this iconic French ski resort, you will have to catch a bus to the slopes once in town but it hardly makes a difference when it's so close to the airport.
Transfer time: 1 hour 10 minutes
5. ST ANTON - flying into Innsbruck
Whether you want to get to the apres capital of Europe in the quickest time possible with a private transfer (1 hour and 10 minutes) or take the slightly slower train option, you'll be in St Anton, Austria in no time. You'll have hours on the slopes before the draw of the après scene has you dancing on tables and throwing back the Jägermeister before dinner.

6. MAYRHOFEN - flying into Innsbruck
Mayrhofen, Austria is a surprisingly short transfer of just 1 hour and 3 minutes when the traffic is good. You can also take the train for a scenic, 1hour 30 minute option. Mayrhofen offers fantastic skiing as well as brilliant après all night. It is always in our top 5 most popular ski resorts and we're putting money on it climbing that ladder this season.
