Arosa is a fantastic choice for a ski holiday. This Swiss ski resort combines stunning mountain scenery with a relaxed and welcoming alpine atmosphere. Linked with Lenzerheide to create a ski area of around 225km of pistes, the resort offers plenty of variety for both short breaks and longer stays.
Snow conditions are typically excellent throughout the winter in Arosa, while the surrounding forests, lakes and dramatic peaks give the resort a truly scenic and peaceful feel. The skiing is especially appealing for intermediates and families, with wide, beautifully groomed blue and red runs spread across the mountain. Beginners are also well looked after thanks to gentle learning areas and highly regarded ski schools, while stronger skiers can explore steeper descents and freeride terrain higher up the mountain.
Efficient lifts and an easy-to-navigate layout make it simple to explore the wider ski area at a relaxed pace.
Away from the slopes, Arosa delivers classic Swiss charm with cosy mountain restaurants, stylish hotels and a decent après-ski scene. Visitors can enjoy lakeside walks, wellness spas and welcoming bars after skiing, creating a more refined and relaxed atmosphere than some of the Alps’ busier resorts.
Easily reached by scenic rail connections from Zurich via Chur, Arosa is the perfect ski holiday location for skiers looking for beautiful scenery, quality skiing and an authentic Swiss alpine escape.
