The Hotel Ormelune is nestled in Val d'Isere’s village centre and the ski lifts are just around the corner, so you won’t need to walk far for any of the resort facilities.

Bright colours mould the hotel's cheerful atmosphere with quirky art throughout creating a happy alter ego to the resort’s more traditional alpine offerings. You’ll even find a few creatively designed cows dotted around the place. The 56 rooms are all furnished with modern décor, vivid colours and earthy tones. Small rooms, perfect for couples, up to the extra-large rooms with a cabin room for the children.

The Hotel Ormelune has a restaurant and bar, where you can sit in comfy armchairs enjoying a cocktail or two in the evening. They also have a sauna, hammam and massage facilities allowing you to unwind after a day on the mountain. And the benches in the ski room are massive pegs - just thought we'd mention that.

What we like about the Hotel Ormelune

  • Central location super close to the slopes and resort centre
  • Refreshingly bright decor trumps the traditional rustic wood, grey colours and muted tones
  • The beds are super comfy - always a bonus with ski hotels

Worth knowing

  • Ski room lockers are heated - toasty boots each morning
  • The half board has a relatively fixed menu so if you're staying for an extended period we'd recommend the bed and breakfast optio
  • Resort tax paid locally and is approximately €2.53 per person, per day.
