Welcome to Chalet Poudreuse, a fitting name for a chalet surrounded by snow in Avoriaz! We are delighted to feature this superb, modern property operated by our sister company Skiweekends.

Beautifully positioned right next to the Yeti Bar & Restaurant, Chalet Poudreuse enjoys a truly ski-in, ski-out location just a few minutes’ walk from the pedestrianised resort centre of Avoriaz, in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area. The location of this chalet is what every skier dreams of – the perfect base for your catered ski weekend or short break.

Chalet Poudreuse is a stand-alone traditional Alpine chalet and presented in a bright, open, contemporary Alpine style. It is very comfortably furnished, featuring six good-sized en-suite bedrooms across two floors (five twin/doubles and one quad with a bunk bed). One bathroom includes a bath, the rest have showers. All rooms feature smart TVs with USB ports, towels, bed linen, bathrobes, hairdryers, and complimentary toiletries.

The first floor is home to a spacious, vaulted living area with an open-plan kitchen-diner and lounge, complete with a flatscreen smart TV, DVD player, music system, and a modern log burner. Step out onto the balcony for panoramic mountain views and spectacular sunsets. Downstairs, you’ll find a relaxing sauna – ideal for soothing tired legs after a big day on the slopes – plus a ski room with boot warmers. Bedrooms on the lower floor benefit from natural light and ventilation (though without a view).

This ski-in, ski-out position couldn’t be more convenient – the ski school meeting point is just metres away, and the resort centre with its shops, cafés, and the brilliant Aquariaz water park is only minutes from your door. Early booking is strongly recommended as this chalet is always in high demand.

In the evenings, the area becomes peaceful, with only the gentle sound of horse-drawn sleighs passing by. The nearby bars close by 6.30 pm, ensuring a calm and relaxing atmosphere in the chalet.

Chalet Poudreuse operates on Skiweekends VIP Chalet Board, providing exceptional home-cooked food and a relaxed, sociable atmosphere.

Meal Basis:

• Continental & full English cooked breakfast
• Afternoon tea & cake
• Four-course evening dinner with superior bottled wine
• NEW for Winter 25/26: Dinner is served on six nights, and breakfast now includes a ham & cheese “Baguette To Go” option – perfect for the slopes!
• On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with tea and cake, followed by canapés and a welcome drink before your first dinner.
  Five mornings feature a full English breakfast, pancakes and porridge alongside continental options. On your hosts’ mornings off, enjoy a self-serve continental breakfast, fresh croissants, and your “Baguette To Go”.
• Evening meals include a four-course dinner with cheese board and port or petit fours, complemented by carefully selected wines served throughout.

Chef & Host Time Off: Wednesday all day and Saturday morning. These are ideal opportunities to dine out in Avoriaz, with its excellent restaurants, bars and shops.

Families: A children’s menu can be pre-booked at no extra cost. When booked for sole occupancy, earlier high-tea service for children is available by request (supplement applies).
